Republic Airways Holdings has reported preliminary passenger traffic results for July 2009, featuring a 3 percentage point increase in load factor.
The company generated 961,222,000 revenue passenger miles (RPMs), a 7.7% increase from the 892,706,000 in same month last year, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased by 3.7% to 1,195,357,000 from 1,152,662,000.
This resulted in the 3.0 percentage point load factor increase to 80.4% versus 77.4% in July 2008. A total of 1,840,930 passengers were carried during the month, a 4.9% increase from the 1,755,636 carried in the same month last year.
Block hours flown were down by 6.8% to 60,558 from 64,946 for the respective months.
