Capacity and operational results for Pinnacle Airlines, Inc. during June 2009 and the first half of the year have been announced by the carrier's parent, Pinnacle Airlines Corporation.
The airline recorded 430,876,000 revenue passenger miles (RPMs), down by 0.4% on June 2008's 432,503,000, while available seat miles were down by 1.1% over the respective periods to 527,477,000 from 533,121,000. The load factor was 81.7%, an increase of 0.6 percentage points from 81.1% in June last year. Passengers carried totalled 986,882 in June 2009, 7.3% up on last June's 919,700.
RPMs for the first half of 2009 (1H09) were down by 3.6% to 2,301,384,000 from 1H08's figure of 2,386,709,000. Capacity, in ASMs, increased slightly, by 0.4%, to 3,129,301,000 fromo 3,116,125,000. Consequently, the load factor in 1H090 was 3.1 pp down on 1H08 at 73.5% compared with 76.6%. Passengers carried numbered 5,163,352, a decrease of 0.2% on 1H08's 5,150,849.
