Pinnacle Airlines' January and February performance data announced
Pinnacle Airlines Corporation has released capacity and operational results for its Pinnacle Airlines, Inc. subsidiary for January and February 2009.
Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) grew slightly (by 0.3%) to 356,779,000 from 355,536,000 in January 2008, while for the same respective months available seat miles (ASMs) rose by 5.8% to 539,638,000 from 509,910,000. This led to a load factor decrease of 3.6 percentage points (pp) from 69.7% in January 2008 to 66.1% in January of this year. The total passengers carried during January 2009 was 776,025, a 1.8% decrease from last year's figure of 790,287.
In February 2009, RPMs were down 3.6% to 326,450,000 from 338,757,000, while ASMs increased by 5.1% from 466,536,000 last February to 490,472,000 in February this year. The load factor thus fell by 6 pp from 72.6% in February 2008 to 66.6% this year. Pinnacle carried 720,865 passengers in February 2009, a fall of 4.6% from last February's figure of 755,391.
