Pegasus Airlines has announced that its London Stansted–Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen/North Cyprus (Ercan) route will increase from five a week to daily from April. And as part of scaling up its services to Turkey from the UK in 2009, the airline will introduce a direct service from Stansted to Bodrum on 4 May.

Pegasus offers 13 onward connection points from Istanbul to summer destinations across Turkey, including Bodrum, Antalya and Izmir.

The carrier's chairman, Ali Sabanci, has declared, "Europe is an important market for us, with annual growth projected at approximately 20%.”
