ALTA, the Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association, has welcomed two new affiliates to its membership at the Paris Air Show: Snecma and Superjet International.
"We are pleased to welcome Snecma and Superjet International to ALTA and look forward to them being integral players in our association as we continue to work towards a safer and more efficient industry," said ALTA executive director Alex de Gunten.
"Snecma, which is already a member of IATA, RAA and ERA, is very happy and proud to now join this prestigious forum of Latin American airlines", says Lucas Aardenburg, Snecma's vice-president marketing and sales for the Americas. "This further step confirms and consolidates our commitment to ALTA built up through sponsorship (by our joint venture PowerJet) over the last years." Snecma, which has a headcount of approximately 4,000 in the Americas, is increasingly active in the Latin American market and has recently opened an engine Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility in Querétaro, Mexico.
