The new joint venture company formed by GE’s Middle River Aircraft Systems (MRAS) and Safran’s Aircelle has signed a co-operative nacelle systems agreement with CFM International. The accord covers the development and production of integrated propulsion systems for potential new applications for CFM engines.
“The agreement opens exciting opportunities for the creation of new integrated propulsion systems that will be highly efficient and cost effective,” commented Steve Walters, president of the MRAS/Aircelle joint venture. The JV covers complete nacelles and nacelle subsystems and is headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio.
