Bombardier Aerospace revealed at Le Bourget that IBEX Airlines of Japan is to receive four NextGen CRJ700s. These four aircraft are part of an order that was announced on 23 June 2008 and are being sold to an unidentified customer.

IBEX, originally known as The Fair Inc and which has a codeshare agreement on some routes with ANA, currently operates two 50-seat CRJ100s and two 50-seat CRJ200s. Its 70-seat CRJ700 NextGen airliners will be the first CRJ700s in Japan.

"Japan has been a steady market for our CRJ and Q-Series aircraft and we're delighted that four more aircraft are going into the country," said Gary Scott, president, Bombardier Commercial Aircraft.
