New showroom gives ExecuJet customers the inside track
European corporate/VIP aircraft services provider ExecuJet has opened an interiors showroom for use by customers at its headquarters in Zurich Airport, Switzerland.
Clients can visit the showroom to specify the cabin of a new aircraft in detail and then view their ideas via computer-aided design software and a large plasma screen. First user is a Middle Eastern customer who signed up with Execujet at last month’s MEBA show in Dubai for an interior for a newly acquired Bombardier Global Express.
“Sixty of the biggest luxury material houses are showcasing their materials here,” says Pascal Jallier, Execujet’s head of completions management . “We have a terrific range of samples from companies like Aeristo, Scott Group, Kalogridis, Edelman Leather, Townsend Leather, Maison Lipari, AIP and Techno Coatings.”
On show are wood veneers; various leathers, including calf, lamb and buffalo; fabrics such as silk, cotton and velour; plating in various shades of gold and platinum; several grades of carpet, including hand-tufted cashmere and silk; and an extensive range of accessories, including cashmere blankets, towels and china.
Evidently inspired by Boeing’s Dreamliner Gallery for 787 customers, the showroom replaces a previous arrangement under which representatives travelled to the client, carrying large cases of samples. “This facility offers a far wider variety of samples and allows interiors to be planned on site with the help of our design software,” says Jallier. “Zurich’s location in the heart of Europe makes it very accessible and we expect OEMs and completion centres to visit us too.”
ExecuJet’s completions division co-ordinates with the aircraft manufacturer as soon as a purchase is agreed with the customer. It works primarily with Bombardier but has also completed or refurbished Cessna Citations, Dassault Falcons and Gulfstreams.
