New FlightSafety Q300 FFS certified at Level D by Japan CAB
FlightSafety International has announced that its new Bombardier Q300 full fligh simulator (FFS)has been qualified to Level D by the Japanese Civil Aviation Bureau. The simulator is located just outside of Tokyo at Haneda Airport. It will also be used for Bombardier Dash 8-100 and Q200 aircraft training.
“We are pleased to increase our support for Bombardier and our mutual customers who operate Dash 8-100, Q200 and Q300 Series aircraft in Japan and the surrounding region,” remarked Bruce Whitman, president & CEO. “This is the first simulator of its type to receive JCAB qualification. It is a clear demonstration of FlightSafety’s ability to design and manufacture high quality simulators that replicate the exact flying characteristics of the aircraft and offer exceptional reliability and value.”
The simulator will serve Bombardier Dash 8/Q Series aircraft operators based in Japan as well as those from Russia, Taiwan and the Philippines. It is currently available for Bombardier Q300 training and is expected to be qualified for Dash 8-100 and Q200 training in October 2009.
The advanced technology FFS is equipped with electric motion and control loading and the VITAL X visual system.
