easyJet is to open a new route from Copenhagen to Manchester, flying six weekly frequencies. The announcement coincides with the airport being named Europe's most efficient airport by the Air Transport Research Society (ATRS).

This was the second time in a row that the ATRS gave the airport the rating, taking the total number of times it has received the award to five.

Meanwhile, the opening of the Manchester service means that easyJet will operate five services out of Copenhagen. Additionally, an extra daily frequency is to be added to Berlin in November.
