bmibaby has announced new services from Cardiff to Almeria in Spain, and from Birmingham to Newquay. Flights to Almeria will operate from 22 May to 22 October 2009, on Mondays and Fridays, while the service to Newquay will operate from 22 May to 20 September 2009, on Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

To meet the demand for more beach routes, the airline will replace two city routes from Cardiff – Amsterdam and Glasgow – with the new route to Almeria, and will replace the route from Birmingham to Cork with the new service to Newquay.

Customers holding bookings from Cardiff to Amsterdam and to Glasgow, and from Birmingham to Cork for travel after 29 March 2009 will be contacted by bmibaby as soon as possible and offered an alternative flight or a full refund.
