US Airways has reported May 2009 combined traffic figures for Piedmont Airlines and PSA Airlines, its two wholly-owned subsidiaries which operate under the US Airways Express brand.
Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) totalled 184,863,000, a 5.4% drop on May 2008's figure of 195,317,000. Available seat miles were cut by 6.2% to 265,823,000 from 283,266,000.
The resultant load factor was 69.5%, 0.5 percentage points up on last May's 69.0%. Passengers carried during the month numbered 675,302, down 3.1% compared with 696,776 carried in the same period last year.
