May 2009 traffic reported for Allegiant Air

Allegiant Air reported preliminary passenger traffic results for May 2009 including a 25.8% increase in passengers carried.

The airline recorded 381,141,000 revenue passenger miles (RPMs), up 23.9% from May 2008's figure of 307,656,000. The airline increased the capacity by 22.9%, creating 420,546,000 available seat miles (ASMs) compared with last May's 342,140,000 ASMs.

These figures helped to take the load factor up to 90.6%, 0.7 percentage points above last May's 89.9%. The number of departures also rose – by 26.4% – to 3,283 from 2,598.
