June and 1H09 performance data released by Colgan Air
Pinnacle Airlines Corporation has released capacity and operational results for its Colgan Air subsidiary for June 2009 and the first half of the year.
Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) totalled 58,680,000, a 5.7% increase on June 2008's figure of 55,496,000. Available seat miles (ASMs) were down by 6.0% to 93,383,000 from 99,339,000. The load factor therefore rose, by 6.9 percentage points (pp), to 62.8% from 55.9% in June last year. Passengers carried during the month increase by 3.9% year-on-year, from 240,281 to 249,619.
For the first half of 2009 (1H09), RPMs reached 298,415,000, an increase of 25.6% over the 237,680,000 in 1H08. ASMs were up by 18.6% to 532,554,000 from 449,188,000. The 1H09 load factor was 56.0%, up 3.1 pp from 52.9% in 1H08. Overall passengers numbers were 1,286,549, compared with 1,101,725 in 1H08, a 16.8% increase.
