July 2009 traffic reported by Great Lakes Aviation

Great Lakes Aviation has announced preliminary passenger traffic results for July 2009.

Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) recorded numbered 12,643,000, a 9.7% drop from 14,007,000 in July 2008. Available seat miles (ASMs) for the respective months fell by 10.3% to 35,580,000 from 32,272,000.

This resulted in a load factor decrease of 7.9 percentage points to 35.5% from 43.4%. Passengers carried during the month totalled 46,006, a 12.6% reduction on July 2008's figure of 52,639.

The revenue per ASM (RASM) was 30.51 cents in July 2009, down 4.5% from the RASM of 31.94 cents in July last year.
