Joint MRO training to be offered by Oxford Aviation Academy and Aveos
Oxford Aviation Academy (OAA) and Aveos have signed an agreement to jointly market and provide EASA Part 147 aircraft maintenance training to airlines globally.
Under the terms of this agreement OAA and Aveos will now be able to provide both practical and theoretical aircraft maintenance training at OAA’s training centres globally and Aveos’s Canadian training centres in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal and Winnipeg. Additionally, training will also be offered at airlines’ operating bases around the world.
The agreement covers training on a wide range of aircraft types including the Airbus A320 family, A330, A340, Boeing 737 family, 747 and Bombardier CRJ aircraft but initially, training in Manchester will be offered on 737NGs and Embraer 170/190 aircraft.
Aveos, formally Air Canada Technical Services, is a Transport Canada approved organisation and a provider of customised training products and services for the aviation maintenance industry. As well as offering maintenance training, Aveos is an EASA approved MRO and therefore is able to offer category ‘A’ practical training programmes.
Oxford Aviation Academy has been providing EASA Part 147 training for a number of years on the BAE Systems 146, RJ, ATP and Jetstream aircraft types through its Manchester Training Centre.
