JetBlue reports January 2009 traffic
JetBlue Airways has reported that its traffic in January 2009 decreased by 7.1% compared with January 2008, on a capacity decrease of 5.1%.
Load factor for the month was 74.0%, a decrease of 1.6 percentage points from January 2008. JetBlue's preliminary completion factor was 98.4% and its on-time performance (measured by the US Department of Transportation classification of on-time arrivals as those domestic flights arriving within 14 minutes of schedule) was 74.7%.
JetBlue's preliminary passenger revenue per available seat mile (RASM) for January 2009 increased by 15% year over year.
