JetBlue Airways is to resume its summer service between Nantucket and New York JFK, offering travellers the convenience of daily nonstop flights to the island until 8 September, with additional flights on weekends throughout the season.

JetBlue will serve Nantucket Memorial Airport with its 100-seat Embraer 190s.

"JetBlue is proud to be returning to Nantucket for our third summer," said Scott Laurence, JetBlue's vice-president of route planning. "Our easy nonstop flights prove that getting there doesn't have to be a 'Planes, Trains and Automobiles' – and ferries – adventure. With JetBlue, you can jet from New York and be in Nantucket in about an hour, making the journey as enjoyable and stress-free as the destination."

In addition to seasonal nonstop service from New York to Nantucket, JetBlue customers have year-round access to Nantucket and other popular destinations including Hyannis, Martha's Vineyard, and Provincetown, Massachussetts, plus Rutland, Vermont, through JetBlue's marketing partnership with Cape Air. The partnership offers customers low fares, one-stop reservations, simplified baggage check-in and transfer, and fast same-terminal connections for travellers making connections through JetBlue's Boston focus city onto Cape Air-operated flights.
