Great Lakes Aviation reports November 2008 traffic

Great Lakes Aviation has announced preliminary passenger traffic results for November 2008.

The airline's scheduled service generated 11,507,000 revenue passenger miles (RPMs), a 10.6% decrease from the same month last year. Available seat miles (ASMs) increased 15.3% to 31,295,000.  As a result, load factor decreased 10.6 points to 36.77%. Passengers carried decreased 14.9% to 41,281 compared with November 2007.

For the eleven months ending 30 November 2008 compared with the same eleven month period in 2007, RPMs decreased 1.8% to 142,340,000 and ASMs increased by 12.4% to 329,219,000, resulting in a load factor of 43.24% for the year 2008 effecting a decrease in load factor of 6.3 points compared to the same eleven month period in 2007. The company carried 526,268 revenue passengers for the eleven month period, a 1.4% decrease from the prior year.
