GE Commercial Aviation Services (GECAS) has announced that it has leased five new Boeing 737-800s from its existing order book to Atlas Blue, the low-fare subsidiary of Royal Air Maroc. Deliveries are scheduled for 2011.
Atlas Blue is based in Marrakech, Agadir, Tanger and Oujda in Morocco, and served 1.5 million passengers in 2008. The carrier offers a network of 37 destinations including a large choice of flights to Europe.
