Flybe wins its third environmental award of 2008
Flybe has won the 2009 Buying Business Travel Green Diamond Award which celebrates the airline's positive environmental policy. It is Flybe’s third environmental award in just four months after winning the Brussels Airport Environmental Award back in October, and the ‘Special Merit for Commitment to the Environment’ Award at the Budgie Awards in September.

In recent years, Flybe has invested $3bn into its new fleet of aircraft which, by the end of 2009, will be one of the youngest and most fuel efficient in the world. As well as the Bombardier Q400, the two-type fleet also includes the Embraer 195.
