Flint get new nonstop flights to Ft Lauderdale with AirTran
Bishop International Airport in Flint has a new destination in its roster, Ft Lauderdale, with AirTran flights beginning on 4 November. This takes the airport's Florida destinations to four alongside Orlando, Ft Myers and Tampa.
"With non-stop service to more Florida cities than anyone from Flint, the only thing that covers the state better than AirTran Airways is the sunshine itself," said Tad Hutcheson, vice-president of marketing and sales for AirTran Airways.
In addition to Ft Lauderdale starting in November, Flint's Saturday-only Tampa flights will be upgraded to daily flights on 6 October, two months ahead of last year's seasonal escalation of service. Also, daily flights to Ft Myers return on 4 November. Orlando flies daily all year.
