Embraer signs service contracts with three customers in Europe
Embraer has signed a five-year Flight Hour Pool programme contract with three European operators – Ukraine’s Dniproavia Airlines; Athens Airways; and Spain’s Ándalus Líneas Aéreas – to support their total fleet of 17 ERJ 145 jets (eleven, four, and two aircraft, respectively). This special materials solution greatly reduces each operator’s need for investment in spare parts and minimises overhead and carrying costs associated with inventory.
“We are pleased to support our most recent ERJ 145 customers with the Flight Hour Pool programme, offering the best material solution to guarantee the high-quality operating standards for their fleets, which other airlines have been relying on for more than 10 years,” said Leandro Laia, Embraer vice-president, customer support and services – Europe, Africa and the Middle East. “With this service, the airlines will secure their operations, benefiting from Embraer’s support expertise, thus being able to concentrate on their core business – the commercial operation of the aircraft.”
Consisting of on-site and exchange inventory plus repair management service, the Flight Hour Pool programme enables airlines to take maximum advantage of scale no matter the size of their fleets. It helps to improve aircraft availability, sets control over repair costs, and saves airline’s cash by transferring the risk of surplus and obsolescence to Embraer.
In addition, the programme provides the airline with quick and guaranteed spare parts replacement through the convenience of a one-stop-shop.
