Embraer delivers record 204 jets in 2008

For the second consecutive year, Embraer has set a new aircraft delivery record with a total of 204 aircraft handed over in 2008, 20% more aeroplanes than in 2007 (169 aircraft).

The company’s Commercial Aviation division delivered 162 aircraft, with the Executive Aviation and Defense & Government divisions delivering 36 and six respectively. E-Jets led the way with only six ERJ 145s delivered last year. The E-Jet split was nine E-170s, 55 E-175s, 78 E-190s and 14 E-195s.

The value of the firm order backlog on 31 December 2008 stood at $20.9 billion. Embraer Commercial Aviation’s contribution to this is made up of 40 ERJ 145s and 386 E-Jets (45 E-170s, 20 E-175s, 237 E-190s and 84 E-195s).
