Airbus Corporate Jet Centre, based in Toulouse France, has ordered a CTT Cair System to be installed during the latter part of 2009 in one Airbus VIP A319.

Cair is focused on the passengers’ health and comfort by providing humidification of dry aircraft cabins without condensation. Cair gives a pleasant relative humidity of 25%, compared to 3%-5% without, for the passengers, thereby reducing dry air related problems (e.g. fatigue, jet-lag, red eyes, dry skin, spread of viral diseases).

“This is Airbus Corporate Jet Centre’s third order for our Cair system,” remarked Ulf Liljenberg, vice-president sales & marketing of CTT Systems. ”The market for large VIP aircraft is still keeping its momentum and customers within this segment are keen on adding our system as part of their specifications.”

The Cair system is based on evaporative cooling technology. Besides being extremely energy efficient, the system uses a method that effectively precludes the transfer of bacteria within the aircraft. The dual-purpose system increases humidity for greater comfort and incorporates the Zonal Drying System to counter condensation problems.
