Copa Holdings and its Copa Airlines and Aero Republica operating subsidiaries, have released preliminary passenger traffic statistics for November 2008.
System-wide passenger traffic (RPM) increased 12.4%, while capacity (ASM) increased 13.5%. System load factor for the month was 74.9%, a 0.7 percentage point (pp) decrease when compared with November 2007.
Separated out, Copa Airlines traffic (RPM) during November 2008 compared with November 2007 increased 15.3%, while capacity (ASM) increased 17.1%. This resulted in a load factor of 77.2%, a 1.2 pp decrease.
Aero Republica meanwhile reported a passenger traffic (RPM) drop of 2.8%, alongside a capacity (ASM) decrease of 1.7%. Load factor for the month was 63.2%, a 0.7 pp decrease when compared to November 2007.
