clickair, Spain’s largest low fares airline, has announced it is moving all its UK routes to London Heathrow.  Direct routes to Vigo and Seville, currently operated out of London Gatwick, will switch to London Heathrow, alongside clickair’s Bilbao and La Coruna services, effective 1 June 2009.

Clickair transported more than 316,000 passengers between UK and Spain during 2008.

Flying to Heathrow, one of the most important airports in Europe and the best for connecting international traffic, the airline hopes to achieve more than 400 000 passengers during 2009. The decision to streamline all UK clickair flights is designed to provide an improved service for passengers.

The only direct route between the UK and Vigo was launched by clickair in June 2008 and was operational throughout the summer.  The airline worked with the Foundation Provigo for more than a year studying the viability of this link to London.
