Atlantic Airways optimises revenue management with IT from Lufthansa Systems

Atlantic Airways is the most recent customer for Lufthansa Systems' ProfitLine/Yield Rembrandt. The revenue management solution will enable Atlantic Airways to optimise its saleable capacities and, thus, increase revenues. Both companies recently signed a five-year contract to this effect.

ProfitLine/Yield Rembrandt has been specifically designed for the needs of mid-size airlines and low-cost carriers. The system covers all core processes of revenue management - from data loading and demand forecasting to optimizing availability data - and offers an extensive reporting tool. The system puts Atlantic Airways in the position to recognize market opportunities at an early stage and to react quickly to market changes. Atlantic Airways' decision was supported by the fact that Cimber Air selected ProfitLine/Yield Rembrandt earlier this year and is very satisfied with the successful cooperation with Lufthansa Systems. When the Faroese airline was established in 1987, Cimber Air owned shares in the company, and today, there are still strong links between the two airlines.

Atlantic Airways' main activity consists of scheduled service from the Faroes to the neighbouring countries in the North Atlantic and Denmark as a cornerstone, as well as charter operations in Europe, and helicopter operations over Faroese waters and the North Sea. Atlantic Airways currently operates seven jet aircraft and four medium-size helicopters.
