JetBlue Airways has reported that its traffic in April decreased by 2.7% from April 2008, on a capacity decrease of 4.0%.
The traffic in revenue passenger miles (RPMs) totalled 2,222,990,000 which, as menitoned, was 2.7% down on April 2008's figure of 2,283,623,000. The capacity drop of 4.0% meant a total of 2,757,046,000 available seat miles offer in April compared with 2,872,250,000 in April last year.
Load factor for April 2009 was 80.6%, an increase of 1.1 percentage points from April 2008's 79.5%. Revenue passengers carried for the month numbered 1,954,278, just 0.8% down on 1,938,296 passengers last April.
