Alitalia Express's ATR 72s and Embraer ERJ-145s are set to be sold by the flag-carrier's administrator.

The eight ATRs and 14 Embraers are among 46 aircraft being sold by the airline as it goes through the process of extraordinary administration. The aircraft are being sold in lots, in groups of aircraft of the same model.

Two sets of ATRs are available, four ATR 72-210s in one group and four ATR 72-500s in another, although buyers will also be permitted to buy individual aircraft as well.

Expressions of interest in the aircraft must be received by 29 January 2009. The list also includes five 164-seat MD-82s, 17 141-seat MD-80s and a pair of Boeing 767-300ERs.
