Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air customers can now purchase Access America Trip Protection through a partnership with Mondial Assistance. The protection scheme includes coverage for reimbursement of non-refundable travel expenses in case of emergency cancellation or trip delays, reimbursement for unexpected travel expenses and 24-hour access to emergency medical assistance. Customers can buy trip protection when booking travel through alaskaair.com or by contacting Access America via phone or online.

"Trip Protection provides the peace of mind of knowing you can alter your travel plans in the case of a personal emergency or medical situation without losing your investment," said Steve Jarvis, Alaska Airlines' vice-president of marketing, sales and customer experience. "We're pleased to offer it as a convenient part of booking travel on Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air."
