AirTran Airways has begun its daily nonstop flights from Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport to Cancun Airport International in Mexico.

"Cancun is a favourite travel destination for US travellers, and AirTran Airways is making it easy to get there from Atlanta and now Baltimore," said Kevin Healy, senior vice-president of marketing and planning for AirTran. "We offer reasonable prices at all times, but our introductory fare is especially low to encourage travellers from Baltimore to get acquainted with the convenience of the new flight and accessibility of the destination."

The nonstop flights to Cancun depart from Baltimore/Washington at 11:35 a.m. daily and arrive at 2 p.m. The reverse service leaves Cancun at 2:45 p.m. and arrives in Baltimore/Washington at 7:10 p.m. All times are local.
