airBaltic to launch Riga?Frankfurt service
Latvian airline airBaltic will launch nonstop flights from Riga to Frankfurt on 17 September, its sixth destination in Germany.
Tero Taskila, the airline's chief commercial officer, commented, "We are delighted to add the financial capital of Europe to airBaltic's route network. The new flight will provide excellent connections to destinations in Scandinavia, Russia and the CIS."
airBaltic will offer nonstop flights from Riga to Frankfurt on a daily basis – seven flights per week in total. Boeing 737 aircraft will operate the flights that will last 2 hours and 15 minutes.
During its summer 2009 programme, airBaltic has added 11 cities to its destination map: Palanga, Kaunas (both in Lithuania), Tartu (Estonia), Turku (Finland), Linkoping (Sweden), Tromso (Norway), Dushanbe (Tajikistan), Geneva (Switzerland), Warsaw (Poland), Pskov (Russia), and now Frankfurt (Germany).
