airBaltic reports 5% passenger increase in July

airBaltic has reported that it carried 296,754 passengers in July 2009, a 5% increase on the 283,555 carried in the same month in 2008. The airline's figures at its main base in Riga showed an increase of 31% compared to the same period last year.

In July, airBaltic operated 4,387 flights, 5% fewer than the 4,623 flights of July last year. The load factor in July 2009 was 76.51%, an increase of 6.20 percentage points over July 2008's 70.31%.

The 15-minute flight punctuality indicator for airBaltic stood at 87.9% in July 2009.
