AirAsia announces first direct connection between Bali and Perth
AirAsia has revealed its new international route from Perth to Bali, the first Australian destination to be serviced from Indonesia with direct daily flights.
To be serviced by AirAsia Indonesia, the Bali–Perth service is the fifth international route operated from the Bali hub after Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, Bangkok and Singapore. The opening of this route will strengthen Bali’s position as AirAsia’s second hub after Jakarta in Indonesia.
AirAsia Indonesia is the second Indonesian airline to pass the strict regulations of the Foreign Airline Operating Certificate of Australia. This means the airline has met the requirements of the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASAA), demonstrating AirAsia’s high safety standard.
“Our safety practices comply with the conditions set by the regulators in all the countries we fly to. These processes include regular audits and inspections of our fleet. In addition to that, we do not compromise on our training standards and ensure that our AirAsia Academy training grounds provide the highest quality training standards to our people. We have always strived for higher standards and our world class partners have certainly enhanced our learning to greater heights,” said Dharmadi, CEO of AirAsia Indonesia.
The new route will be served by AirAsia’s brand new Airbus A320 aircraft, as the distance will require maximum four hours of flight. AirAsia will fly daily from Denpasar to Perth. From the total frequency, AirAsia expects to encourage more tourists into Bali and other parts of Indonesia from Perth and surrounding Western Australia, to encourage guests to travel with AirAsia and promote the connectivity to other parts of AirAsia’s network via its hub at Denpasar.
