Air Wisconsin, which operates as US Airways Express, has reported its traffic statistics for November 2008.
Passenger numbers in the month dropped 15.4% to 392,981 from 464,786 in November 2007. Capacity (ASMs) fell for the same period by 11% while traffic (RPMs) dropped by 14.8%. The resultant load factor change was -3.2 percentage points to 67.1% in November 2008 from 70.3% in 2007.
So far this calendar year, passenger numbers are 1.8% down from 5,294,407 in Jan-Nov 2007 to 5,200,585. Capacity over the respective periods has fallen by just 0.9% while trafffic has dropped by 2.2%. The load factor for Jan-Nov 2008 is 70.9%, 0.9 pp down on Jan-Nov 2007's figure of 71.8%.
Despite the additional funding promised this week, the UK armed forces still look set to face cutbacks, and maintaining international commitments to AUKUS and GCAP may limit the options for other programmes.
