On 1st May 2009 Air Berlin will start its first service to Venice, thereby further increasing its Italian routes. Air Berlin is the only airline that will be offering one non-stop flight a day to this city in northern Italy from Düsseldorf from Mondays to Saturdays. Air Berlin flies into Venice's international Marco Polo Airport, which is only a few kilometres from the city centre and offers excellent connections to the local public transport system. The one-way fare to Venice is available from 29 euros - including taxes, charges and miles. The flights will be available for booking from 4th November 2008 online (airberlin.com), by calling our Service Centre any time (tel.: 01805-737 800) or via travel agencies.

Apart from its service to Venice, other Air Berlin flights to European cities in summer 2009 will also be available for booking. Early bookers can save money with bargain fares from 29 euros one way (including taxes, charges and miles) to Denmark, Finland, France, Great Britain, Italy, Austria, Sweden, Switzerland and Hungary. The non-stop flights from Hamburg to the Finnish city of Helsinki are also new. Air Berlin now also offers non-stop flights in the summer from Nuremberg to the Italian city of Milan. The airline is also increasing the frequency of its services between Düsseldorf and Copenhagen, Düsseldorf and Milan, Nuremberg and Budapest, Berlin and Stockholm.
