UCAS-D completes more trials

The US Navy’s Unmanned Combat Air System-Demonstrator (UCAS-D) has completed its latest phase of at-sea trials.

According to Northrop Grumman executives, the single X-47B air vehicle deployed just a week ago in the Atlantic Ocean on USS Theodore Roosevelt and successfully conducted integration tests with F-18 manned aircraft and night operations.

However, it is understood that the UCAV did not conduct any airborne tasks and UCAS-D has flown back to Patuxent Naval Air Station.
