SOFEX 2012: KADDB debuts latest unmanned offering

The King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau (KADDB) unveiled its first indigenous VTOL UAS at the Special Operations Forces Exhibition (SOFEX) on 8 May.

Yet to be granted an official designation or name, the quad-rotor UAV is still in development although KADDB officials told Shephard that it hoped the programme would be completed this year.

Designed for ISR missions, the UAV has been developed in 'support of the Jordan Armed Forces' (JAF) although it is not believed that a tangible procurement requirement has yet been confirmed.

With a maximum endurance of 12 minutes, the UAV is designed to carry
