Ox UAS makes debut flight

Florida-based CLMax Engineering has unveiled a demonstrator for a high payload capacity tier two tactical unmanned air system with the type making its debut flight 8 August.

The ‘Ox’ is being developed as a low cost “beast of burden” says company head Chris Miser, with the baseline version expected to enter at the marketplace with a price tag of US$15,000.

Miser says the Fort Walton headquartered company started work on the design early this year with the objective of being able to provide a high volume payload capacity in a compact airframe that could be easily modified to meet different
