Night Flight Concepts awarded Broward County NVG lighting contract

A sole source award by the aviation unit of the Broward County Sheriff’s Department, was awarded to Night Flight Concepts, Inc. (NFC) of Port St. Lucie, FL.

NFC will provide and install night vision lighting for this southern Florida County aircrafts. Two of the county’s helicopters, an EC130 and EC135 will receive the latest generation night vision capable lighting modification and include NIVISYS NVAG-6 night vision goggles.

The aviation section of the Broward County Sheriff’s department provides airborne law enforcement services in addition to fire rescue and air medical services to the citizens of the county and other surrounding communities.  Based in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, the unit has provided air support for all city, county, state and federal agencies in Broward County since 1970.

Night Flight Concepts will install the REBTECH’s STC on night vision lighting equipment for additional safety, operational readiness and mission capability.

The conversion will include modification of all cockpit and cabin equipment for night vision compatibility.
