Helitech 2009: Bell 429 achieves EASA Certification
Bell's latest helicopter, the Model 429 has been awarded its European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certification.
Neil Marshall, programme manager for the Bell 429 announced the award on the final day of this year's Helitech 2009 event at Duxford and said: "We have been working on with EASA during the development phase of this program so this certification is the culmination of a lot of hard work from all the parties involved."
Certification from both Transport Canada and the Federal Aviation Administration was awarded in July. The company has so far not announced how many aircraft have been ordered from Europe.
