SkyBOOKS to present at Embry-Riddle record-keeping and regulatory compliance seminar
SkyBOOKS has been invited to present a section on electronic methods for the Record-Keeping and Compliance seminar put on by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU).
The eight-hour record-keeping and regulatory compliance course will be available at the HELI-EXPO in Houston on Feb. 20, 2010.
The SkyBOOKS presentation will address the safety risks associated with proper flight and maintenance record-keeping and the evolution of record-keeping programs. Industry experts will share the most common errors found in record-keeping and offer suggestions on how to prevent future mistakes.
SkyBOOKS, is a SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) provider using the latest Microsoft development tools and supports flight and maintenance organizations via a Web-based tool that allows simultaneous use by dispatchers, owners, operators, and maintainers. This modern, Web-delivered program is designed to keep both crew and aircraft in compliance with Ops Specs and FAA-approved maintenance programs.
"We appreciate SkyBOOKS' research and participation in this seminar. It offers attendees the opportunity to see an exceptional and comprehensive methodology for a critical component of organizational management," stated Scott Burgess, ERAU assistant professor and seminar instructor.
The course is designed for flight department personnel who will establish and/or maintain a record-keeping system using accepted industry practices to document and maintain regulatory compliance and initiate appropriate action within the department.
John Willis, SkyBOOKS chief operating officer, said, "Sharing common record-keeping errors is the best method of prevention. It is our equivalent to a Near Miss Program. We are equipping attendees with the knowledge to detect similar record-keeping errors in their own record-keeping program."
