Simplex Completes Biggest Sales Year in 63 Year History
Simplex Manufacturing is pleased to report record breaking sales during 2008; the best year in its 63 year history.
Long known as a market leader in high quality, durable mission equipment for rotorcraft, the company delivered more value in helicopter systems this past year than ever before.
Simplex has long been known as a market leader in aerial application and firefighting mission equipment, and these two industries remain strong. This past year, however, Simplex expanded within these industries to include a Fire Attack tank for the AW139 Helicopter, and increased international certifications to include EASA approval on its AS350 series spray equipment.
Also of note this past year, Simplex increased product lines to include the Simplex Manufacturing Aerial Residue Removal Technology, or SMARRT System, for high pressure aerial power line insulator washing.
This high pressure wash system is constructed for the Bell 407 helicopter, with plans for the Eurocopter AS350/355 series to follow shortly. Simplex delivered multiple power line washing systems to companies operating in the US, Spain, and Thailand.
Founded in 1946, Simplex has built a reputation as the leader in design, manufacturing, and certification of aerial application systems and mission equipment for helicopters.
Simplex maintains its industry leadership by incorporating the latest technology in design and manufacturing systems from high-strength, low-weight composite materials to produce cost-effective systems for firefighting and other aerial applications.
