Mexico State Government Air Rescue Unit (MSGARU) completes NVG training with Night Flight Concepts, Inc. (NFC) of Port St. Lucie, FL.

The comprehensive NVG training package took place at the Palm Beach Helicopters flight training facility in Lantana, Florida in the newly NVG STC Bell 206B Jet Ranger.

Ground and flight training was provided for the pilots and has increased the overall safety and operational capability of the area’s only dedicated Air Rescue operator.

The Bell 206B was recently modified with a REB Technologies (REBTECH) STC NVG Lighting Kit as the second NVG training aircraft, in addition to the cost-effective Robinson R-44, for Night Flight Concepts flight training customers.

NFC chief flight instructor, Randy Rowles commented “The pilots demonstrated a high level of skill and proficiency during all maneuvers.” The maneuvers included touchdown autorotations, tail-rotor failures, and hydraulic boost-off landings, while using FAA approved NIVISYS NVG’s. MSGARU leadership spoke with many NVG training providers before choosing Night Flight Concepts, Inc.

They selected NFC for various reasons, one being the Virtual Terrain Board (VTB) NVG training simulator developed by Night Readiness. “The training received was much more thorough than we had expected. We were not disappointed” stated MSGARU senior pilot, Captain Raul.

NFC company president, Adam Aldous commented, “We're extremely proud to have provided NVG training to the MSGARU. This training demonstrated their commitment to safety for their flight crews and improving their services to the citizens of Mexico. We appreciate the confidence that MSGARU has placed in Night Flight Concepts.”
