Wrocław becomes Wizz Air?s 12th base

Wizz Air has announced that it will establish its 12th operating base in Wrocław in July 2010.

Concurrently, the airline launched six new routes from Wrocław to Paris Beauvais, Oslo Torp, Eindhoven, Forli Bologna, Cork and Milan Bergamo complementing its existing service to London Luton. The carrier will also re-open services to Dortmund and Doncaster-Sheffield and increase weekly frequency on Wrocław–London Luton route from four to seven.

Routes to Dortmund, Paris Beauvais and Oslo will begin on 17 December 2009, with the rest starting from 17 July 2010.

“Wrocław will become our fifth base in Poland, reinforcing our commitment to the largest market in Wizz Air’s network as well as our leadership on the Polish market. With this move we will further enhance the travel opportunities for millions of Poles in the west of the country, create hundreds of local jobs and significant revenue uplift for the tourism industry in the region,” declared John Stephenson, executive vice-president of Wizz Air.
