Third A320 for Wizz Air Sofia base
Wizz Air is expanding its operations in Bulgaria by adding a third brand new Airbus A320 aircraft in Sofia in May 2010.
This move will enable Wizz Air to launch new services to Madrid, Paris Beauvais, Frankfurt Hahn and Forli Bologna from 22 May 2010, three times a week initially. The new aircraft will also be deployed to increase frequencies of existing routes to Eindhoven and Valencia to three and four a week, respectively. Wizz Air expects to carry 37% more passengers in 2010 versus 2009.
Wizz Air has an operating base in Sofia and offers 14 destinations from the Bulgarian capital. The company also offers flights from Bourgas to a number of destinations in Europe mostly on a seasonal basis, as well as from Varna to Sofia and London Luton.
