TAP M&E Brazil delivers ERJ 145s to GECAS for operation by Passaredo
Following C-checks on each aircraft, TAP Maintenance and Engineering Brazil has delivered two Embraer ERJ 145s to GECAS (GE Commercial Aviation Services) which immediately went into operation with Passaredo Linhas Aéreas.
The aircraft were previously operated by Thai regional carrier PB Air and have now joined two aircraft of the same model in the Passaredo fleet, which also contains six EMB120 Brasilias.
The services were performed in TAP M&E Brazil’s hangars in Porto Alegre, and included structural repairs, several modifications in mechanical and electronic systems, and complete interior restoration. They also underwent landing gear overhaul, recuperation of the APU, overhaul/repair of all ‘hard time’ components and substitution of engines for AD incorporation.
Passaredo’s technical personnel accompanied all of the work, together with GECAS team, and expressed satisfaction with the quality of the services, after performing test flights. “We have known TAP M&E Brazil for a long time and, once again, we have seen the company’s technical competence, this time with our new aeroplane. We look forward to continuing this partnership,” said Captain José Luiz Felício Filho, president of Passaredo.
