Pinnacle Airlines' October performance data announced

Pinnacle Airlines Corporation has released capacity and operational results for its Pinnacle Airlines, Inc. subsidiary for October 2009.

The airline flew 386,913,000 revenue passenger miles (RPMs), a drop of 9.0% compared with last October’s figure of 425,322,000. Available seat miles (ASMs) totalled 485,872,000 for the month, a decrease of 10.5% from 543,094,000 in the same month last year.

The control on capacity thus helped the load factor in October 2009 increase by 1.3 percentage points to 79.6% from 78.3% in October 2008. Passenger numbers also rose, by 1.4%, to 934,740 from 922,234 a year ago.

The airline flew 34,831 block hours in the month, down 5.0% from 36,652 last October, utilising 126 Bombardier CRJ200s (+2 from October 2008) and 16 CRJ900s (also +2).
