Lufthansa CityLine receives its first E-195

The first Embraer 195 for Lufthansa has been delivered at the airframer’s headquarters in São José dos Campos, Brazil, for operation by Lufthansa CityLine.

The original deal was announced in June 2007, with the confirmation of 30 firm orders for the E-190, including options to take any model of the E-Jets family.

Lufthansa CityLine’s E-195 is configured for 116 passengers in a dual-class layout, with a moveable divider. The new aircraft will be based at the carrier’s hub in Munich.

“We are very happy to receive our first state-of-the-art E-Jet,” said Klaus Froese, managing director of Lufthansa CityLine. “I believe it will be the ideal aircraft to renew our ageing fleet and to develop new routes, as we continue to enhance our service to our valued customers.”
